OUR STORY

It started with an idea.
And a server.

What began with a gaming community in 2016 now connects development, design and infrastructure. Our story is about people who wanted to make more possible together.

NO OFF-THE-SHELF PLAN

A shared passion became a shared standard.

Reshape Media did not begin as a fully formed service business. It started with curiosity, ideas of our own and the enjoyment of building something that did not yet exist in that form. We wanted to shape digital experiences ourselves and discover what technology could make possible.

Small experiments grew into larger projects. Individual skills became a team. And the question “How can we bring our idea to life?” gradually led to another: “Who else could benefit from what we have learned?”

01 origin / 2016

Our own worlds.
Our own possibilities.

In 2016, a group of dedicated Minecraft players came together. We shared more than enthusiasm for the game: we had ideas for new game modes, features and experiences that we wanted to create ourselves. Rather than wait for the right solution, we began to build it.

Our own Minecraft server became the first shared space for those ideas. It gave us room to experiment, make changes and learn. What looked promising on paper had to work in real play, with a community that contributed feedback, thought alongside us and brought new requests.

Over the following years, more servers and projects followed, eventually reaching beyond individual games. Each one raised new questions: how do we create a good experience, keep systems dependable and connect creative ambitions with technical delivery?

02 team / learning

Everyone brought something.
Everyone learned something.

Our projects were driven by the voluntary commitment of the people behind them. Nobody had to know everything. Those who understood servers helped with infrastructure. Those with experience in programming, design or organisation shared it with the others. Knowledge became a shared foundation rather than something held by individuals.

The team changed over time. New people joined, while others took different paths. Developing ideas together, supporting one another and being willing to learn shaped the way we worked. That period gave us a conviction we still hold: good solutions emerge when different perspectives meet.

The ideas grew.
So did our perspective.

As our projects grew, we wanted them to be accessible beyond the games themselves. A community needed information, a place for exchange and an online presence that made its ideas clear. Our first websites followed, bringing new experience in web development, design and connecting different systems.

What initially served our own projects became useful to others as well. At the same time, we were looking for ways to sustain our work and give it more time and resources. Why not use the skills we had developed to help people facing similar challenges?

~2019

The first step beyond our projects.

Around 2019, the first external commissions emerged. Support within our own community expanded into building practical solutions for other projects.

2020

A name for what we were building.

Since 2020, that offering has carried the name Reshape Media. Development, design and technical understanding found a common home, open to new challenges and partnerships.

04 infrastructure / 2021

A solution does not end
with its last line of code.

Hosting became a dedicated part of our services in 2021. The thinking was straightforward: when you develop a website or application, you should also consider the environment it will run in. Delivering finished files alone does not answer the questions of servers, availability and ongoing support.

We added suitable server solutions and expanded our work with hosting partners. Other areas followed step by step: domains, email management, server administration, security configuration and setting up firewalls.

Our perspective expanded from individual products to the way their components work together. Development, design and infrastructure should fit, and people should not be left to navigate the technical questions alone after delivery.

New tools.
The same curiosity.

Technology keeps evolving, and we evolve with it. New possibilities matter for more than their novelty. What counts is whether they make work more effective, improve a solution or create space for the more demanding questions.

AI-assisted tools are now part of that development. They can support repetitive tasks, speed up early drafts and help structure information. This leaves more time for planning, complex technical relationships and carefully developing the right solution.

For us, that does not remove responsibility for the outcome. Understanding requirements, weighing decisions, checking results and continuing to learn still call for experience and attention. The tools change. Our approach to working together remains.

01

Stay curious

Understand new possibilities and use them where they create a clear, practical benefit.

02

See the connections

Look beyond individual components to the people, processes and systems behind them.

03

Take responsibility

Shape technology thoughtfully, question the results and work together towards better solutions.
